Delete your Banto account

You can delete your account and data yourself in the app, or ask us to do it.

In the app

Open Banto and go to the Profile tab.
Tap Delete account at the bottom.
Tap Delete account again to confirm.

If you owe or are owed money in a group, Banto asks you to settle up first, so nobody is left waiting on money.

By email

Can't open the app? Email farhan26azam@gmail.com from any address with the subject "Delete my Banto account" and the phone number you signed up with. We'll confirm it's your number and delete the account within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your name, phone number, area and payment handles.
Your sign-in, so the number can sign up again as a new account.
Your memberships, your spots on upcoming plans and your open votes.
Your alerts, notification settings and registered devices.

What stays

Expenses and payments you were part of stay in each group's history under "Former member", without your name or number, so your friends' balances stay correct. Backup copies are removed as those backups expire. See the privacy policy for more.
